Un bon dia, un ratolí que corria i jugava per la selva amb els seus
amics trepitjà sense voler el lleó, que dormia tranquil·lament.
El lleó es despertà ràpidament i atrapà el ratolí amb les urpes.
Quan es veié atrapat, el ratolí li demanà perdó i li suplicà que el
deixés anar.
Eines schönen Tages  rannte eine Maus im Wald umher und spielte  mit seinen Freunden und ohne es zu wollen verfing sie sich in den Krallen eines schlafenden Löwen. Und als sie sah das sie gefangen war, flehte die Maus um Vergebung und bat darum unbeschadet gehen zu dürfen

El lleó considerà que tenia molt poc valor venjar-se d’un animal
tan petit, essent ell un animal tan fort i tan valent i decidí
alliberar-lo.

Der Löwe welcher wenig Wert darin sah sich an so einem kleinen Wesen zu vergehen, entschied sich die Maus frei zu lassen, da sie so mutig und stark gewe war.

Poc temps després, el lleó caigué en una trampa i quedà atrapat
dins d’una xarxa. Adonant-se que no en podia sortir començà a
cridar. El petit ratolí sentí els rugits del lleó i hi anà de seguida.
Quan el veié atrapat a la xarxa li digué:

Ein wenig später verfing der Löwe sich in einer Falle und war in einem Netz gefangen. Als er feststellte das er nicht entkommen konnte, begann er zu brüllen. Die kleine Maus vernahm das Gebrüll de Löwen und ging daraufhin zu ihm. Als sie sah das er in einem Netz gefangen war sagte sie folgendes zu ihm:

- Tu que ets el rei de la selva, no has de patir per res. De la
mateixa manera que tu em perdonares la vida, ara jo t’alliberaré d’aquesta xarxa rosegant-ne les cordes.

Du bist der König des Waldes und musst dir um nichts Sorgen machen. Auf die gleiche Weise, wie du mir das Leben schenktest, so werde ich dich auch jetzt befreien und des Netzes Stricke durchnagen.

Així és com el ratolí alliberà el lleó de la trampa.

Und so kam es das die Maus den Löwen aus der Falle befreite.

I realized that catalan has many minimal pairs like English.

Anyway today I watched Fight Club again and I have to admit that every time I see this movie I have the feeling that I have to change my live somehow. Sometimes I do but mostly I'm to stuck to do it...

Ara tenim un XBOX! I no ho sé que pasarà en el futur! Immidiament he tingut una addicció amb la machina.
No vaig jugar els jocs de video des de molts anys i crec que haig de prestar atenció! Tenia una addicció dels jocs de video per 2 anys.
Peró com sempre la ciutat serà el meu remei.

Now we have a XBOX. I dont know if I can stand the temptation every day... But Barcelona is the cure I can go out and see whats happening on the streets instead of playing Star Wars games i guess... i guess...

Today i was really efficient i stood up early (12) I bought the catalan books needed for the catalan Nivell 2 and borrowed myself the books needed to give proper german lessons... I trained with Hasan in the Parc (Salon Labo lessons) and afterwards meeting my intercanvi (Sprachtandem) for pracise...

And I recalled one of my favourite german word of all times !!!

Ein Naseweis !

Middle german wis meaning having good senses (as in English wis-dom). So it was an adjective saying that a hunting dog has a good nose.

Today you say is if someone is clever or wants to be a "cleverle" as the swabian would put it. I also know it as a substantiv for a curious kid.

Today it was breakfast time and we have a new table for our balcó which means balcony (wuhu that was a hard guess, no?):



So Carlos stayed the night at our place (we have a comfy couch) and totay we had our first "Tandem" language interchange german - catalan because he is a philologist its easier to explain things to him but may be it will be hard for him because he still has to learn ... and sometimes hard learning is the only way to archive sth. in live...

PRESENTING EL YOVIC

Yesterday we have been at the beach in the middle of the night. The waves were suprisingly huge at that time... It was all fun until the big sandcrawlers appeared who clean the beach! They looked like some Road Warriors in a Mad Max Movie :-)


 
so this was us preparing for the beach I left the camera at home because of course I fears thiefs as paranoid as I am...

Anyway today I trained with Raul in the park and we had a good time:



We'll meet each Wednesday morning for training now on...

After bringing some documents to the Caja Madrid  so that PTK Catalunya has a banc account I rested a little and after that I went shoppinng with Ciara. Its rebaixes time and everything is meant to be cheaper and tada! I found shoes!

Now an hour of catalan and then we'll see! 

Today I woke up at 9:00 o´clock allthough I was out till 3:00 in the night...

It is a pity that i forgot my camera. Sometime in the future I have to document the fireshows on "placa rei" or in front of the Entrance of the Museu Frederic Màres (http://ca.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frederic_Mar%C3%A8s_i_Deulovol)

Next time fotos I promise. I met two french girls and one really had studied medieval history in Paris... I consider doing a kali fire show but i bet that it doesnt look as good as it looks with poi. But anyway it doesnt matter if it doesnt look that good at least I have my fun ;-)

Today I have to get some stuff ready: my Flyer for giving german lessons forr the Goethe Institute and other things ... sometimes little things make the difference.

Before beeing on the squares of Barcelona I was hanging out with Patrick who came visiting me (or at leeast was in Barcelona for an Buisness Trip). It was nice hanging out with him and friends of his. I felt young again a feeling I seldom have since I'm in Barcelona who I always seem to be the oldest. Old friends make me feel young because they are mostly older than I am.

Its 11:15 I did an hour of catalan allready and head to the parc to swing the heavy stick ...

Do you have guts to eat guts? And why does "budell" (cat. for guts) sound like "Pudel" (poodle in catalan caniche as in spanish a french loanword(?))  to me?

It is said that poodles are one of the most intelligent dog races! But they look soooo stupidly posh! How can something like a poodle be intelligent?

Old german to "puddeln" meant to splash about in the water. So obviously if you have a sword and someones guts it must be to "puddel" "budells"...

If an officer finds the person dead and he is french he will probably say: bordel! (meaning what a chaos or brothell)

So lets say: oh un bordel de puddel budells! So if you are german and you can creat composita, you of course create a big one saying:

Bordelpuddelbudells!

By the way this was my 5 minute break form studying catalan.

PS: el rap is not as everyone would expect a Rapper or to rap it is a fish instead so rap stinks like fish! (el rap / Seeteufel / Devilfish) Ok its getting even more confusing if you look at the spanish word: el rape ! So "rape me" from Nirvana says: I want to get Devilfished ... what that means I leave to your fantasies !

Luckily there is Wikipedia and someone really put two pages online which are sooooo fucking interesting ;-)

Allthough interesting that here the articles lo and los are used (lo ouçel / los ouçels = Bird/s). When I recall it right these Articles are now a days only used in the "Nord-occidental" dialects of catalunya for example in the region of Lleida. I'm really curious if the people there really use this article! 

Now I will do an hour of catalan at parla.com ... a free online learning page ... I'm diligent... or at least try to be diligent!

In Germany i ate too much... Here I can lean back and chill. Its strange may be its the heat or the town of Barcelona. May be its the eating habits or smth.

Today was a good day... 4 hours of training and tomorro is planned and I`m really looking forward to do some nice stuff...
The Kali group is growing if we don`t loose one of the members we will be 6 Persons. I don't want the group to grow to quickly.

Today I had to fu**ing sleep long. My cough is not getting better but in a way I shouldn't be suprised, I just didn't sleep enough. So the Idea is: no drugs till next week except coffee (it is a lives energy - not a drug). If the cough is not getting any better i will go to see the doctor.

The problem with coughing is that it also effects my usual need to train... we're is the desideratum, the need, the necessity ... all not gone but oppressed by this thing in my breast that doesn't let my sleep!

Lets see 9 hours sleep a day instead of 5 may be it helps...

After a mandatory break because of being disconnected I now can continue this log. As I found out for myself the best learning-technique is reading comic strips...
And luckily Mr. Victor a good friend in Barcelona made me a present some weeks ago:

EL RETORN A LA TERRA 1: L'AUTENTICA VIDA



Its so nice and usefull! I really love the comic. Its about a nerd and his girlfriend moving to the countryside (the catalan one of course).

important vocabulary was for example:

enteros! - Agreed!
mastegar - to chew
l'aiguardent - Schnaps!
el esquirol - squirrel
la canalla - children but more brats
llest - bright, smart

& many more!

On the other hand I'm totally broke and my parents promised to send my some money. I mean some additional because I had birthday and stuff but it is not enough to have a nice living in Barcelona. The city is soooo expensive. I mean I found ways to live cheaper. Here some tricks:

1 Always use bicing! Cost 30 Euro a year... Bycicling through the city for free (ok after half an hour 30 Cents per half an hour but at least not 77 Cents for the Metro and it is sporty)

2 Having meals with friends... (Supermarcets have normal prices here - at least)

3 Going out for coffee (it makes you feel like going out and doing something but is not so expensive 1 cup 1.30 Euros)

4 Drinking alcohol in the streets and never in the clubs/bars (4 Euro are 4 Euro...)

5 Giving conversation classes in german so that i dont have to pay for my job at the language school.

6 Eating local stuff nothing exotic ... (but thats good in many ways - getting to know the culture and stuff)

7 Speaking to people in catalan sometimes the invite me to something... (they are so nice ...)

8 Never pay entry wait until the things are for free...


By the way I was at a Car Exposition for free this sunday it was very nice but strange. I was never that fond of cars but somehow it has something magical when you know: this Bugati is woth a milion and this Ferrari may be even more...
